FATEMA 10-year-old orphan girl from Khan Younes
Fatema lives with her family that is composed of eight members; her single mother, her four brothers, and two sisters. The family does not have a steady source of income as the mother is unemployed, and so they mainly rely on social welfare which they receive every four months, and charity aids to support their daily lives.
Fatema is in the third grade. She studies in a UNRWA school, to which she goes to on foot since it is located near her house. She is a good student, and to keep her performance on the track, she takes extra tuition lessons in her basic school subjects that cost around 30GBP a month.
Fatema is quite healthy. However, her brother suffers from mental issues that made him cognitively and mentally retarded. He has to take some sessions that cost around 40GBO a month. Other family members are healthy.
The Benevolent Society For Developing Izbat Beit Hanoun Area sponsors Fatema and hundreds of children in the Gaza strip, this will ensure for those children to have suitable and humanitarian life and will enable them to provide food, medication, and education.
